Cuvee Jean Paul Rouge 2018                                                                                     7.25
This was the first wine I ever listed way back in time. It quickly became a big favourite and was for donkeys              years was  the house red in the much-missed Sportsman in Strines. Produced from a blend of Syrah and Grenache grapes in the Vaucluse area of the Southern Rhone, this no frills quaffer is packed with juicy, rich, sweet, red fruit and splashed with the characteristic Rhone hint of spice.    Great with any sort of meaty dish and just perfect on its own. Get re-aquainted with an old friend.    OUT OF STOCK

Chateau La Bastide (Corbieres)                                                                                 10.85
Stonking, big red which weighs in at a whopping 15%. Produced from a blend of Syrah, Grenache and 120
year old  Carignan Vielles Vignes. Dark fruit on the nose whilst the palate shows rich concentrated fruit with hints
of spice in the finish. Beautifully bridges the gap between the exhuberance of the New World and the finesse of the French. Great with any red meat or hearty casserole.
