Dr L Riesling 2015 (Mosel, Germany)   V V                                                                                            11.00
Gorgeous medium dry white produced, by the world expert and riesling missionary, Dr Ernst Loosen on the mineral rich slopes  of
the Mosel Valley.
Crisp, fruity, and refreshing with a lovely touch of sweetness in the finish.   The  perfect aperitif and a great accompaniment to spicy South East Asian stir fry dishes.  ps It is also fantastic just on its own and at only 8.5% you can drink a lot of it!!

Kardos Dry Furmint (Tokaj, Hungary)     2017                                                                                12.35
Absolutely gorgeous dry white from the tiny, family owned Kardos Estate.  Pale green in colour with an intense nose.
Fresh and vibrant, with  a nose of gooseberry, pear and lime. which follow through on the palate. Dry and beautifully crisp with
an elegant minerality which keeps the wine beautifully balanced. Perfect as an apertif, and great with with seafood linguine, all
white fish and crumbly Lancashire cheese.

Sepp Gruner Veltliner 2017 (Austria)   Organic   VV                                                                      12.50
Lovely, elegant, fresh and fruity, yet crisp, organic white from Austria's signature grape variety.
Delicate aromas of honey, apricot and white spice. The palate has more stone fruit flavours and a soft, appealing texture..
Mineral, stony characters are balanced by fresh citrus acidity and a hint of spice.
Great with white fish, shellfish or chicken .

Fritz Willy Gymnasium Riesling 2017  (Germany)    V V                                                           13.50
The Friedrich Wilhelm Gymnasium name originates from the Jesuit school founded in 1561. Through the centuries wine production   from the estate's vineyards helped to support the school. Today the estate consists of around 25 hectares on the steep slopes of the Middle Mosel and Saar - all exclusively dedicated to Riesling. The cellars lie deep under the city of Trier - where a stone in the foundations bears the date 1593. Here fermentation takes place in traditional Mosel 'Fuder' (1000 litre barrels).                                    The school itself changed names a number of times following its foundation, but an interesting note is that one of its more famous pupils was  Karl Marx !!!!
Fragrant aromas of ripe apricots, citrus and apple. Minerality and ripe, rounded stone fruit flavours are balanced by zesty lemon sherbert characters - giving an appealing medium dry style which retains a surprisingly crisp finish.
Great with pasta and bacon dishes, grilled fish and scallops.
